Challenge coins are a time-honored tradition in the military and police forces. They date back to World War I.
You will also get a 3 inch Gunter magnet, a series card showing the titles to date in order, a bookmark, and pawprint sticker, along with one custom-commissioned, double-sided, 5x7 print copy illustration of Gunter, as drawn by artist, Bethany Marie. Bethany sketched Gunter's likeness from the book covers. She expertly added Gunter's K-9 police vest and incorporated his missing ear. Bethany created the pawprint that is used on the coin and sticker, with the help of an actual German Shepherd, who allowed her to use his paw to create the image.
